4th Annual Water Safety Awareness Day-Brooklyn & Queens * Saturday, May 14
Swim Strong Foundation will host its 4th National Water Safety Awareness Day on Saturday, May 14. The purpose is to focus community attention on critical issues that support safety in and around the water.
Activities include:
- Community swim lessons by Swim Strong
- CPR training by FDNY
- Water safety workshops Swim Strong
- Pediatric dental screenings by Methodist Hospital
- Origami workshop; kids ID program And MORE!
Location and time:
- Brooklyn Sports Club, 1540 Van Siclen Avenue, from 9AM-12PM
- Far Rockaway High School, 8-21 Bay 25 Street, from 2PM-5PM
There is no charge for participation. Registration will take place the day of the event at the locations.
Water Safety Awareness Day is a global event dedicated to the prevention of drowning.
Swim Strong, a community-based organization, has joined this effort and is committed to making our waterways safer for swimmers.
