So, you think you know everything about a winning backstroke?
Elite swimmers Cameron Hood (Captain of University of Pennsylvania 2012; 8 time Ivy League Championship finalist; Division 1 Academic All American Honorable mention and 2009 World Championship Trials qualifier) and Meg Hutchinson (Captain of New York Athletic Club Women’s Team, represented University of Virginia in 4 consecutive ACC Championship winning teams, National Qualifier in 100, 200 backstroke, 200 IM, 200 freestyle) will show you some of the basics that are often overlooked as well as more refined stroke techniques to help you improve your stroke mechanics and increase your speed. Starts and turns will be addressed. For more competitive swimmers there will also be a discussion on planning your race. Participation will be limited. First come/first served.
