From Start to Finish: A NYC Half Marathon Journey

NYC Half Marathon Recap!

Dear [Team/Supporters/Friends],

I’m excited to share that I successfully completed the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon this past weekend—my first long-distance race! It was an incredible experience—challenging, rewarding, and made even more meaningful by running in support of the Swim Strong Foundation and our mission to provide water safety education and swim lessons to communities all over the world.

"Man in a dark double-breasted suit and white shirt smiling warmly at the camera, standing against a backdrop of green-lit paneling and marble walls in a professional setting"The energy of the city, the camaraderie of fellow runners, and the unwavering support from all of you kept me going through every mile. From early morning training runs to pushing through pesky plantar fasciitis, and finally that last stretch to the finish line, every step was worth it knowing that together, we’re making a real impact.

They appear to be at the starting area of the race with metal barriers visible and many other participants in running gear gathered behind them waiting for the race to begin.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported me—whether through donations, words of encouragement, or cheering me on from afar! Because of your generosity, the Swim Strong Team will be able to provide free introductory swim lessons to around 55 children—giving them essential water safety skills that could save lives.

Your belief in the Swim Strong Foundation and this mission means the world to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to have such an amazing community behind me.

This was just the beginning—looking forward to the next challenge!

As our dedicated Board President, Andrew has shown incredible leadership both in and out of the water. His commitment to our mission extends beyond the boardroom to the streets of NYC, where he pushed through each mile to help save lives through swim education. We’re just $4,000 away from our $10,000 fundraising goal! Every dollar brings us closer to reaching more children with life-saving swim skills. Whether it’s $5 or $500, your contribution helps close this gap and expands our impact. Let’s help Andrew and the Swim Strong team cross this final fundraising finish line together!
